An exploration in memory, movement, and language, this workshop will introduce participants to elements of the traditional Korean dance form salp’uri as a means for accessing ancestral languages locked in our bodies. The salp’uri form is a meditative solo dance featuring a long white sash, which helps release energies through the dancer’s body into the atmosphere. Participants are invited to bring in materials that they have a strong connection with in lieu of a sash. Be prepared to participate in discussions, write reflectively, and move thoughtfully. Open to all levels and experiences. Facebook page here.
